Refund Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can cancel a ScanBill subscription and request a refund. Payments are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record.

1. Free plan

The Free plan costs nothing and gives you 10 lifetime extractions. There is nothing to refund on the Free plan.

2. Cancelling a paid plan

You can cancel a paid subscription (Starter, Growth, or Pro) at any time from Billing in your dashboard. When you cancel, you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, and you are not charged again after that. Cancelling does not delete your data.

3. Refunds

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance and are generally non-refundable, since you retain access for the full period you paid for. We will, however, consider a refund in these cases:

  • You were charged after cancelling, due to an error on our side.
  • You were double-charged for the same billing period.
  • The Service was unavailable for a prolonged period during your paid term due to a fault on our side.
  • A refund is required by the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.

Refunds, when granted, are issued to the original payment method through Paddle. Because Paddle is the merchant of record, some refund requests may be handled directly by Paddle.

4. Overage charges

If your plan includes per-invoice overage charges above your monthly limit, those charges reflect usage that already occurred and are non-refundable.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@scanbill.co from the address on your account, with your account email and the charge in question. We aim to respond within a few business days.
